I love chocolate - the darker the better. But I had no frame of reference when confronted with the myriad choices available at upscale grocers. And didn’t want to pay up to $10 a bar to figure out which ones I liked best. At a Tammy’s Tasting event featuring dark chocolate from all over the world, I learned interesting facts about chocolate production and how it impacts taste and texture. Then, I had the kinesthetic experience of smelling, touching and - best of all - tasting a variety of dark chocolates throughout the evening. I left knowing which two gourmet chocolate bars are worth the price I’ll happily pay to keep them in my house. By learning to savor the entire experience of chocolate, I’ll eat less each time, but with greater satisfaction!
